Early Childhood Experiences Matter

Did you know that the most critical stage of development and learning is from birth to five years old? That means that early childhood experiences are so important for your child’s future learning and development. It’s important for the child and it’s important for families to learn the ways to best support them!

Welcome to Miss Tina Online! My name is Miss Tina and I was the Director of the nursery school program at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Inwood, NY. I recall fondly the wonderful times we had with the teachers, children, parents and other family members. I’m proud of the program we provided for our community.

Preschool has sure changed from when you attended, and it has really changed from when I attended. As much as it has changed, there are so many things that have stayed the same. Fun fact: I ended up running the preschool program at the very preschool I attended as a small child. That’s right. There was a preschool in the same church, and I believe my teacher at the time was Miss Bernice, who provided wonderful preschool experiences for the children who attended.

I know the impact that preschool had on me in my preschool years. I’m proud of the impact that St. Paul’s Nursery School had on all the children who attended. With the pursuit of my new degree in Human Services and Family Science, I am again excited about the early childhood and family life education experiences I can share with my new community.
